As a public service, the Alabama Optometric Association (ALOA) Speakers Bureau can provide qualified optometrists to speak on a variety of eye care and safety topics. Whether you're planning a convention for a large group or a small meeting, we would like to provide you with a speaker.
A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) can provide information on primary eye care, eye infections, eye diseases and eye injuries.
How many of your members wear glasses or contacts? An O.D. can provide them with information on the latest laser surgery to correct nearsightedness.
How many of your members have children? An O.D. can tell them about simple vision problems which, if left undetected, can result in accidents, learning difficulties and even behavioral problems.
How many of your members use a computer on a regular basis? An O.D. can tell them how to prevent eye strain.
Contact Amanda Buttenshaw at the ALOA office at (334) 273-7895 or send e-mail to optometry@alaopt.com.
