Registration

Complete the registration form and submit it to ALOA or log on to www.alaopt.org/Meetings.cfm to download a registration form or to access online registration. Registrations can be mailed to Alabama Optometric Association, 1043 Ambassador Court, Montgomery, AL 36117 or faxed to (334) 273-9681. Make checks payable to Alabama Optometric Association or ALOA. If you are paying by credit card, please provide the address where you receive your credit card bill and the expiration date. ALOA must have this information to process your credit card.

Registration fees for doctors and technicians/staff members include continuing education courses, handouts, refreshment breaks, Friday Exhibits & Reception and Saturday President’s Reception. Spouse/Guest registration includes Friday Exhibits & Reception and Saturday President’s Reception.

Room Reservations

Contact the Wynfrey at (800)-WYNFREY (996-3739) to make reservations.

Standard room rates are: Club Level room rates are:
$141 per night for single/double $171 per night for single/ double
$151 per night for triple $181 per night for triple
$161 per night for quad $191 per night for quad
  $550 per night for 2 bedroom suite

The hotel will extend the conference rate up to 2 days prior and/or 2 days following the conference arrival and departure dates, based on room and rate availability. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Keep your reservation confirmation number handy in case you need it when you check in at the hotel.

Group reservations must be made no later than 5 p.m. on October 6, 2009. After this date, reservations are subject to regular hotel room rates and availability. To get the ALOA group rate, remember to mention that you will be attending the Alabama Optometric Association meeting when you make your reservation.

Optometry Winter Classic Golf Tournament

The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry Student Association is coordinating the annual golf tournament. Participants may register through the Alabama Optometric Association, but the UABSO Student Association will handle the pairings and all other details concerning the golf tournament. The cost is $75 for doctors and technicians/staff and $40 for students. If you have questions regarding the tournament that are not related to registration, please contact Stephanie Baker at slbaker@uab.edu. Cost includes greens fees, cart, balls, and lunch.

CPR Training

Red Cross CPR Training will be offered on Friday, November 6, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. There is a $35 fee.
This class is open to all optometrists, as well as any technicians or staff members.
